For me, home is: Vancouver, Canada
Undergraduate degree(s): MSc in Health Sciences and Technology (Major in Neurosciences); Bachelor of Kinesiology (Health Science)
Research experience before PiN: During my undergraduate studies, I studied the cardiovascular consequences of spinal cord injury at the University of British Columbia. I completed my Master’s in Health Sciences and Technology (Major in Neurosciences) at ETH Zurich, first working on a project developing a neuroprosthesis for low blood pressure in spinal cord injury in Dr. Gregoire Courtine’s lab, and studying hypothalamic-spinal circuits in relation to sensorimotor control for my thesis in Dr. Denis Burdakov’s lab. Following my Master’s, I worked as a Research Assistant in Eiman Azim’s lab at the Salk Institute researching neural circuits for dexterous movement.
Current research interests: My research interests are focused on exploring how neural circuit organization and population-level activity relates to function, particularly for sensorimotor control, learning and memory.
Interests outside lab / favorite hangouts: Travelling, skiing, cycling, dancing, reading poetry, and songwriting
