Thesis advisor: Michael Greenberg
Rotation lab(s): Gary Yellen, Adam Cohen, Michael Greenberg
For me, home is: Sandwich, MA
Undergraduate degree(s): BS Neuroscience
Research experience before PiN: Before coming to PiN, I worked in labs studying the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration focusing on autophagy and RNA metabolism dysfunction. Later, I worked in a lab to develop optogenetic techniques to manipulate mitochondrial metabolism and reactive oxygen species.
Current research interests: I'm broadly interested in understanding how changes in metabolism govern neurophysiology and behavior from the cell to circuit perspective. I'm especially interested in developing optogenetic tools to answer physiological questions.
Interests outside lab / favorite hangouts: Cooking, running, hiking
