Research experience before PiN: Characterized a newly identified, transient population of Kisspeptin neurons during an early-life activation of the reproductive axis in female mice (PiNBAC, Victor Navarro, HMS/BWH); Investigated the neuroendocrine mechanisms underlying peripartum hormonal changes in mice (Laura Been, Haverford College); Studied the genetic risk and comorbidities of psychiatric and substance use disorders in humans (Rachel Kember, UPenn); Examined the molecular interactions within the BNST that contribute to PTSD using human postmortem tissue (Sabina Berretta, McLean Hospital).
Current research interests: Neuroendocrinology, stress-related disorders, motivation, behavior, brain-body interactions
