Research experience before PiN: Summer research at The Jackson Laboratory in Dr. Elissa Chesler's lab characterizing maternal behavior in different mouse strains with the goal of expanding the project under drug abuse treatments; undergraduate research at Dr. Matias Cafaro's lab at the UPRM using fungi to test for bioremediation of environmental pollutants such as wastewaters; post-bacc research at Yale in Dr. Daniel Colón-Ramos's lab studying the role of an axon guidance molecule (ROBO) during C. elegans neurodevelopment.

Current research interests: Developmental neuroscience, molecular mechanisms of neuroscience, computational neuroscience, glia
