The Harvard Ability Lab aims to improve people’s mobility by bridging biomechanics, neuroscience, and AI. Our research focuses on uncovering the causal links between cognition and motor control to understand movement, improve rehabilitation, and intelligently augment capabilities with assistive robotic devices. We perform human movement studies to understand cognition and biomechanics of movement. We develop cutting-edge assistive robotic devices to augment fundamental movement challenges or disorders. We design data science and AI models to effectively integrate the subject and assistive robotic system to help them improve their mobility and independence.
