Research experience before PiN: In high school, I conducted fruit fly gustatory neuroscience research in Kristin Scott’s lab at UC Berkeley. In college, I studied a human auditory illusion in Damon Clark’s lab at Yale. Over the summer, I conducted fruit fly visual motion detection research in Tom Clandinin’s lab at Stanford.
Current research interests: sensory system algorithms, spatial navigation, illusions, abstract cognitive maps.
Interests outside lab: piano, cello, music composition, powerlifting, and fishing!
