Research experience before PiN: Undergraduate research with Dr. Ali Khoshnan at Caltech (now at USC) studying the role of gut bacteria on Huntington’s disease pathobiology in Drosophila models, undergraduate research + research assistantship with Dr. Cynthia McMurray at Berkeley Lab developing molecular tools to understand mechanisms underlying trinucleotide repeat expansion in cells

Current research interests: Molecular/cellular mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration

Interests outside lab: Instrumental performance (recorder), listening to music (mostly baroque and classical music), photography
