Prior degree(s): B.S. in Neurobiology, UC Irvine

Research experience before PiN: 6 years as full-time tech in Neuroimmunology (Mathew Blurton-Jones Lab at UC Irvine MIND) studying microglia cell therapies, 2 undergraduate research appointments in Microbiology  (Dr. Jennifer Martiny Lab, Dr. Katrine Whiteson Lab at UC Irvine) exploring the gut microbiome in Alzheimer's Disease, 12 lab notebooks, and ~166,400 mg/caffeine.

Current research interests: Brains and bugs! I am interested in neuroimmune+microbiome+brain interactions in disease.

Interests outside lab: living history, recreating counterfeit fast food, losing at mini golf.
