Prior degree(s): B.A. in Neuroscience from Oberlin College

Research experience before PiN: Investigated the epigenetic underpinnings of mood and developmental disorders (Mellios Lab, University of New Mexico). Researched the consequences of early adverse experience on cocaine-induced impulsivity in rats (Dr. Tracie Paine, Oberlin College). Employed in vivo calcium imaging in mice to look at the contributions of the geniculate and trigeminal ganglia to mouth-feel (Dr. Alexander Chesler, National Institutes of Health).

Current research interests: Neuro-immune interactions, peripheral-central nervous system crosstalk, inflammation, translational approaches
