For me, home is: Irvine, California
Prior degree(s): B.S. in Neuroscience + Creative Writing Minor @ UChicago
Research experience before PiN: I studied cerebellar Purkinje cells in Dr. Christian Hansel’s lab at UChicago. I worked on both a patch-clamp physiology project and a study comparing Purkinje cell morphology across primate evolution, which made me hope to study neuronal form/function relationships in grad school!
Current research interests: dendritic signaling, morphology/physiology relationships, behavioral impacts of cell & circuit plasticity
Interests outside lab: reading “with my ears” (I finished 92 audiobooks last year), running/ballet/weightlifting, accessible scientific communication, puzzles, trying new restaurants
