**Prior degree(s):** B.S. in Biology, College of Creative Studies, University of California, Santa Barbara

**Research experience before PiN:** Worked on visual navigation in Drosophila (Sung Soo Kim Lab, UCSB). Studied odor-driven behavioral plasticity and mushroom body dynamics (Elizabeth J. Hong Lab, Caltech).

**Current research interests:** I’m interested in uncovering shared mechanisms by which brains implement flexible behavior, internal states, and sensory processing through circuit motifs, molecular pathways, and genetic programs.

**Interests outside lab:** jazz, guitar, climbing, video games, build small electronic projects, swimming, cats
