**Research experience before PiN:** 3 years at Peking University + 1 semester at UC Berkeley, both on Drosophila sensory neurobiology

**Current research interests:** sensory systems, computational neuroscience

**Interests outside lab:** classical music (Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev are among my favorites), hiking, learning different languages, philosophy, and finding the best places to see the sunset
