**Thesis advisor:** Michael Greenberg

**Rotation lab(s):** Gary Yellen, Adam Cohen, Michael Greenberg

**For me, home is:** Sandwich, MA

**Undergraduate degree(s):** BS Neuroscience

**Research experience before PiN:** Before coming to PiN, I worked in labs studying the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration focusing on autophagy and RNA metabolism dysfunction. Later, I worked in a lab to develop optogenetic techniques to manipulate mitochondrial metabolism and reactive oxygen species.

**Current research interests:** I'm broadly interested in understanding how changes in metabolism govern neurophysiology and behavior from the cell to circuit perspective. I'm especially interested in developing optogenetic tools to answer physiological questions.

**Interests outside lab / favorite hangouts:** Cooking, running, hiking
