**Research experience before PiN:** As an undergraduate I researched the physiology and central regulation of daily torpor in mice. After graduation I worked in a microbiology lab studying the nasopharyngeal microbiome.  
**Current research interests:** Currently I am interested in developmental neuroscience and its role in informing regeneration after traumatic injury
