**Undergraduate degree(s):** BA in Molecular and Cell Biology - Neurobiology at UC Berkeley

**Research experience before PiN:** Undergraduate research with Dr. Ali Khoshnan at Caltech (now at USC) studying the role of gut bacteria on Huntington’s disease pathobiology in Drosophila models, undergraduate research + research assistantship with Dr. Cynthia McMurray at Berkeley Lab developing molecular tools to understand mechanisms underlying trinucleotide repeat expansion in cells

**Current research interests:** Molecular/cellular mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration

**Interests outside lab:** Instrumental performance (recorder), listening to music (mostly baroque and classical music), photography
