**Prior degree(s):** BA Molecular and Cell Biology: Neurobiology & BA Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley

**Research experience before PiN:** I studied the fruit fly central complex in Yvette Fisher’s lab at UC Berkeley, using genetic manipulations and imaging techniques to uncover the mechanisms that link biological changes to the ability of EPG neuron activity to tether to visual cues.

**Current research interests:** Mechanistic study of molecular and cellular pathways underlying brain function and dysfunction, identifying targets for therapeutic intervention.

**Interests outside lab:** Dance, volleyball, guitar, weightlifting, matcha latte making and consuming
