**Prior degree(s):** BA in Molecular & Cell Biology (Neurobiology emphasis), UC Berkeley

**Research experience before PiN:** During my undergraduate research, I investigated sleep in Cassiopea jellyfish in Professor Richard Harland’s lab and then transitioned to studying the impact of sleep on a Parkinson’s Disease mouse model in Professor Yang Dan’s lab. I also had a summer research experience in Professor Nao Uchida’s lab, where I focused on the neural mechanisms underlying naturalistic decision-making processes using the patch-leaving behavior paradigm.

**Current research interests:** Neural Coding and Information Processing, Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience

**Interests outside lab:** Photography, movies, eating good food, Duolingo
