**For me, home is:** Hangzhou, China

**Prior degree(s):** B.A. in Neuroscience, and Biochemistry & Biophysics, Amherst College

**Research experience before PiN:** Undergraduate research on ribbon-mediated sensory encoding in zebrafish lateral line hair cells (Dr. Josef Trapani, Amherst College); summer internship and research assistant work focusing on gene therapy for Usher Syndrome 1F (Dr. David Corey, Harvard Medical School).

**Current research interests:** Sensory neurobiology

**Interests outside lab:** Glass flameworking, ballet, playing the flute, hiking (mainly to admire rocks), and anything related to cats.
