**Research experience before PiN:** Retinal development with Marla Feller; unwrapping nucleosomes with optical tweezers with Carlos Bustamante - both at UC Berkeley.   
  
**Interests outside lab / favorite hangouts:** Playing pipe organ, hiking, getting lost but not too lost in mildly unfamiliar locations
