**Prior degree(s):** B.S. Double Major in Biochemistry and Behavioral Neuroscience from Western Washington University

**Research experience before PiN:** Undergraduate research in Dr. Adrienne Wang’s lab at Western Washington University investigating potential modifiers of Alzheimer’s disease using the genetic manipulation of Drosophila melanogaster. Research as a lab technician studying neural mechanism underlying stress and substance use disorders in Dr. John Neumaier’s lab at the University of Washington

**Current research interests:** Neurodegenerative diseases, neuroimmunology, neuron-glia crosstalk, DNA damage repair, molecular neuroscience

**Interests outside lab:** Hiking, weight-lifting, roller skating, board games
