PiN strives to bring together a vibrant community of students in a welcoming environment and is fully committed to upholding the standards set forth in the [Harvard Medical School Community Values](https://hms.harvard.edu/about-hms/campus-culture/mission-community-values). We are continuously working to advance community and belonging in our program. To that end, we have partnered with [United Scholars in Neuroscience](https://neuro.hms.harvard.edu/our-community/underrepresented-scholars-neuroscience), the [Department of Neurobiology](https://neuro.hms.harvard.edu/our-community/our-mission), and the [Office for Graduate Education PhD Programs](https://ogephd.hms.harvard.edu/) to fortify our collective efforts to enact policy, develop programming, and create a culture that fully embodies our values.

Our students benefit from numerous student [groups](https://pinphd.hms.harvard.edu/diversity/student-groups) and support [offices](https://pinphd.hms.harvard.edu/diversity/diversity-resources) on campus, as well as the opportunity to participate in recruitment, outreach, and program development initiatives in the biomedical sciences across various stages of the educational pipeline.
