- 4.9% are completing medical school
- 18.9% work in biotech and therapeutics research
- 14% are involved in start-ups or consulting
- 13.2% are faculty (mostly tenured or tenure-track)
- 10.3% work in data science and analytics
- 4.1% are healthcare providers
- 2.5% work in science policy and outreach
- 2.1% work in intellectual property and law
- 3.8% work in other fields such as administration, sales, technical support, and marketing
